This policy explains what personal data we process on the wpinplate.com website, for what purpose, who we share it with and what rights you have.
Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Michał Sakra (WP InSuite), ul. Karczówkowska 12/33, 25-019 Kielce, Poland. For matters concerning personal data, write to [email protected].
Contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, we process the data you enter in it: your name, email address, subject, your venue’s website address (if you give it) and the content of the message.
- Purpose: replying to your message and further correspondence on the matter.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you ask about a purchase or a setup, also steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- The message goes to our email inbox. The Website does not store it in its database.
- We keep the correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle the matter, and then for the period in which claims related to it may arise.
Providing data is voluntary, but without an email address we cannot reply.
We protect the form against spam with Google reCAPTCHA v3, provided by Google Ireland Limited. Its script loads only on the page with the form. It assesses whether a human is filling in the form based on, among other things, the IP address, information about the browser and device and how the page is used, and it may store the _GRECAPTCHA cookie in your browser. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the form against spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google may also process this data in the USA (Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Free trial, license purchase and customer portal
The free trial, license purchase, payments, invoices and the customer portal are handled by Freemius, Inc., 4023 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807, USA. Freemius sells WP InPlate licenses as the Merchant of Record. Freemius processes the data you enter at checkout and in the customer portal under the rules described in the Freemius privacy policy.
Freemius shares with us the data needed to handle the license and technical support, e.g. your name, email address and license and payment information. We do not receive payment card details. We process this data to perform the license agreement and provide support (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and in our legitimate interest, e.g. to defend against claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
On the Website’s pages we load the Freemius checkout script (checkout.freemius.com) so that the checkout opens in a window on the page. When the script loads, your browser connects to the Freemius server, which receives, among other things, your IP address. Once the checkout is open, Freemius and payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal) may store their own cookies.
Ordering demo
The pages /en/demo-menu/, /en/order/ and /en/table/ are an ordering demo in a sample restaurant. Orders are neither fulfilled nor paid for, and the Website sends no order-related emails.
- If you enter data (e.g. a name, phone number or delivery address), we delete the test order right after showing the summary. We keep the summary itself for up to 2 hours so that it can be displayed.
- We delete orders abandoned before the end automatically, usually within about 2 hours.
- For delivery, the server checks the address with the Nominatim service run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. We send only the address, without the name or phone number.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing how the product works (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Don’t enter real data in the demo. Sample data is enough.
Kitchen display demo
The kitchen display and courier app demo runs entirely in your browser, on sample data. What you click in it does not reach our server.
Cookies and browser storage
We divide cookies into necessary, analytics and advertising cookies.
Necessary cookies and browser storage are needed for the Website to work, so they don’t require consent:
- cookieyes-consent, in which we remember your cookie choices, for 12 months,
- _GRECAPTCHA, which Google reCAPTCHA stores on the page with the contact form to protect it against spam, for 6 months,
- WooCommerce cart cookies (wp_woocommerce_session_…, woocommerce_items_in_cart, woocommerce_cart_hash), when you use the ordering demo,
- browser storage (sessionStorage), in which the ordering demo remembers your choices, e.g. the fulfillment method,
- WordPress login cookies, only for people who log in to the Website’s admin panel,
- Freemius and payment provider cookies, once the checkout is opened.
We store analytics Google Analytics cookies only if you consent to them in the banner:
- _ga, which distinguishes visitors from one another, for 2 years,
- _ga_J8ENV5JDGY, which remembers the state of the visit, for 2 years.
We store advertising Meta Pixel cookies only if you consent to advertising cookies in the banner:
- _fbp, which recognizes the browser on later visits, for 3 months,
- _fbc, which remembers a click on an ad on Facebook or Instagram, if that’s how you reached us, for 3 months.
You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The ordering demo will not work correctly then.
Visit statistics (Google Analytics)
If you consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4. This tells us how visitors use the Website, e.g. which pages they read, where they come from, whether they open the demo and whether they start a free trial or a purchase. The tool is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which processes this data on our behalf.
- Scope of data: the identifier from the cookie, the pages visited and the page you came from, the date and time of the visit, the type of device, the browser and operating system, the approximate location (country, region, city) determined from the IP address, and actions on the Website: clicks on the demo, on the email address or phone number, sending the contact form and the steps of the Freemius checkout (opening, starting a free trial, purchase with amount and currency). Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
- We do not send Google Analytics your name, email address, the content of the form or checkout data such as payment details or the license key.
- Purpose and legal basis: visit statistics and improving the Website, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Polish Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej)).
- Without your consent, Google Analytics does not start and does not store cookies.
- We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization. We do not use this data for advertising.
- We keep data linked to the cookie identifier in Google Analytics for 14 months, after which it is deleted. We may keep aggregate statistics that do not identify you for longer.
- Google may also process data in the USA. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision.
Ads on Facebook and Instagram (Meta Pixel)
If you consent to advertising cookies, we use Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland). It lets us measure how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram work and show ads to people who have visited the Website (remarketing).
- Scope of data: the identifier from the _fbp and _fbc cookies, the address of the page visited and the page you came from, browser and device information, the IP address, and actions on the Website: visiting the pricing page, clicks on the demo, on the email address or phone number, sending the contact form and the steps of the Freemius checkout (opening, starting a free trial, purchase with amount and currency).
- We do not send Meta your name, email address, the content of the form or checkout data such as payment details or the license key.
- If you use Facebook or Instagram, Meta may link this data to your account and also use it for its own purposes, e.g. to show ads. This is described in the Meta Privacy Policy.
- Purpose and legal basis: measuring ad effectiveness and remarketing, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Polish Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej)).
- Without your consent, Meta Pixel does not start and does not store cookies.
- When collecting this data on the Website and sending it to Meta, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR). The rules are described in the Meta Controller Addendum. Meta is responsible for any further processing of the data. You can exercise your rights against us or directly against Meta.
- Meta may also process data in the USA. Meta Platforms, Inc. participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Tag manager and consent banner
We load the analytics and advertising scripts through Google Tag Manager, a service of Google Ireland Limited. When you visit a page, your browser downloads its script from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address in the process. Tag Manager itself does not store cookies. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in managing the scripts on the Website efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The consent banner is provided by CookieYes Limited, based in the United Kingdom. It stores your choice in the cookieyes-consent cookie and keeps a consent log on its servers so that we can show that consent was given (Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR). The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom.
Server logs
The server the Website runs on (cyber_Folks hosting) records standard connection information in its logs: the IP address, date and time, the address of the page visited and browser information. They are used to keep the Website secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not make automated decisions about you. We analyze Google Analytics data only as aggregate statistics. If you consent to advertising cookies, we may show you ads on Facebook and Instagram based on your visits to the Website (remarketing).
