WP InPlate runs on a license for one website. It takes no commission on orders and doesn't limit the number of orders, staff members, screens or tables.
You manage your license, payments, invoices and plugin downloads in the Freemius customer portal. Managing the license in WordPress is available only to the site's administrator.

Your configuration, products and orders are kept in every state.
After a paid license expires
- Grace period – 14 days. All features work, and the dashboard reminds you to renew and shows how many days are left. Updates and support are no longer available.
- Continuity mode – after 14 days. Orders keep working: the menu, the order form, payments, the KDS, the courier app and QR tables. Configuration changes, TV screens, the radio, the shift summary and label printing are paused. Settings are visible, but read-only.
- After renewal everything comes back straight away.
WP InPlate won't switch off your orders at lunchtime because of an expired license.
After the trial expires without a purchase
The menu still shows, but ordering is blocked and the team apps don't work. Your configuration is kept – after you buy a license, everything works straight away, without setting it up again.
A license on another website
A license belongs to one website. A license that is invalid, revoked or activated on another website works as if there were no license. When you move your store to another domain, also move the license activation in the customer portal.
Updates
You install updates from the WordPress dashboard, like any plugin. They require an active license or a trial. TV screens reload themselves after an update.
Privacy
Orders and your customers' data stay in your WordPress database and are not sent to WP InPlate. To handle the license, Freemius receives the data needed to activate it, e.g. the website's address.
